Your time, in-kind goods and financial support allow Hope House to create a tapestry of services, support and shelter that we call the "safety net". For victims of domestic violence, this safety net could truly be the difference between life and death. The support we receive from you adds another strand to the net, creating more safety and security for those who are hanging by a thread because of the abuse in their lives.
About 66% of Hope House operating funds come from local dollars, provided by people just like you. The funds stay local, too, helping abused men, women and children in our own communities. Any donation, no matter the size, can make a difference.
Celebrate our 30th anniversary by becoming a member of Club 30, a very special group of donors! Club 30 represents donors who pledge to contribute at least $30 per month to Hope House for a 12 month period beginning any month during our 30th Anniversary Year of 2013. Club 30 members will receive recognition through a special listing on the Hope House website and our Fall 2013 Newsletter. To become a Club 30 member, set up a recurring donation with a program designation of Club 30, download a pledge form here or contact Karma at kvowell@hopehouse.net or 816.257.9339. Our clients often leave their homes with just the clothes on their backs. They are in need of items that can help them start new lives, free of abuse. We also have a program for recycling your old cell phones, iPods, and used toner/inkjet cartridges (see Go Green below).
We could not survive without our volunteers. Whether it's helping out at a special event, doing office work, or being on-call in shelter, your time is valuable to us.
Has your business been talking about ways to "give back" to our community? Sponsoring an event for Hope House not only brings in funds we need for operational costs, but it's a great way to give back to your employees by letting them attend the event.
What are you going to do with your old digital camera, iPod, laptop or cell phone? What about those empty inkjet and toner/laser cartridges? Recycle them through The Funding Factory and raise money for Hope House.
Suddenly there are lots of sites that offer special discounts at local restaurants, spas and retailers. But DealBug.com is different in that they give a % of your purchase to your choice of selected local non-profits. So you can save yourself money and support Hope House at the same time!
